57 cents church

Nice story ............. lovely prayer at the end ...............

A little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was "too crowded."

"I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.

Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so happy
that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus

Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kind-hearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.

As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump.

Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read: "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School."

For two years she had saved for this offering of love.

When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion

He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.

But the story does not end there...

A newspaper learned of the story and published It. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands.

When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.

Church members made large donations Checks came from far and wide. Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250, 000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.

When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit Temple University, where thousands of students are educated.

Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.

In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of
the book, "Acres of Diamonds".

This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.

Please send this back. (You'll see why.)

St. Theresa Prayer (cannot be deleted)

REMEMBER to make a wish before you read the prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is a powerful novena.

Just send this to four people and let me know what happens on the fourth day....

Do not break this, please. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of reward.

(This is true)

(Did you make a wish?)

If you don't make a wish, it won't come true. Last Chance to Make a Wish.

May today there be peace within.

May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing and dance. It is there for each and every one of you

"People do change"?

People tend to change every day every minute every second, right?

Imagine you have a group of friends, whom you perceived as someone who loves you because you all are from the same Father, Jesus Christ.

All the sudden, then things happened...

They started to walk away.. keep themselves away...

Some times pretend they never see you... some times pretend you never exist...

Some times... the very rare time, you feel that you are back to the group again...

HOwever, how sure are you that You, are really taken and loved by the group?

It never comes back.. that's it...

NO point trying.. cos people is always changing...

We have to move on, instead of standing there sulking and trying to win back the friendship..

Useless...

Friend is one who loves you no matter what happen...
who take you as you are...

Those that only come when you in a good mood and walk away when you are in bad mood...

They are NO friends...

Just some hypocrites... that will come with sweet words when you are somebody, and will definitely walk away when you have given up your position...

NO respect...

What a tragedy...

I shld not be bothered by this...

Cos I have to move on, and I am moving on...

You choose your way of living...
and I live my way...

i shall rephrase the sentence, I will live my way in His way...

I Don't live in your way..

You HUMAN way...

NO way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"People do change".......?

Poliklinik visit 3 in two days

Went to clinic again... I can't stand the acid roaring stomach...

Doctor said, go hospital for check up better. Go for some scope scanning...

My sister-in-law said that's too much to go hospital for gastric...

...

...

No one loves visiting hospital, neither I.

Doctor gave me an injection... He still insists that if situation didn turn well tml, my next visit should be the hospital, not clinic

Judging on the fact of me having diarrhea, fever, twisted stomach and etc... it should be...

FOOD POISONING

So....... food poisoning? or Stress induced Gastric?

Doctor gave me another MC, but i know I can't afford to not attending class cause i have grp asg to discuss with my group mates...

sigh...

why at this time?

Poliklinik visit 2: 'Stress induced Gastric'

Went to Doctor 2nd time jz now.

Because my left eye (the eye beg area) swollen and my stomach did not feel any better.

This lady doctor is 100X more professional than last night's super slumber, lazy, annoying looking male doctor whom I waited so long while he was doing nothing inside and I suffer the pain outside, and eventually simply check for less than 3 minutes then I was sent out.

Compare and complaint to the nurses outside of what the lazy doctor had done, they told me 'next time don't come for his hour, come before 2pm or after 9pm... this lady doctor, Dr. Sue is in everyday from 9-2pm... then after 9pm another Malay doctor also better...'

Then I heard of their conversation about the lazy doctor refused to take patient for 1 hr last night for dono some reason he merajuk (that's the hour when I was suffering outside)... what a PROFESSIONAL doctor!!!

come back to the story...

Dr. Sue checked the medication that I got last night and talk to me in getting to know the case better. Then, she asked me to lay down for her to check my stomach...

'why still so full of air?', she said.

She asked me more questions like do I get gastric often, what kinda situation do I have it, etc...

Then she comes to a conclusion...

You are overly stressed...

You need rest...

She gave me a MC, for me to rest for today at least. Also, she gave me another gastric syrup, which is stronger for my current situation. 'the previous one u can keep in the fridge, you can take that whenever you have gastric...'

'Today you really need to rest... medication can help you, but w/o the proper rest you will not recover fast and the acid will continue to produce, which will definitely harm your health... You rest well today, think of your assignment tml...'

She said, mine is called 'Stress induced Gastric' that is quite common to date.
And I need to do something that I like other than study and assignment...

Oh... something that I like?

I have not been dancing for so long... I so miss it some times!

Hmm.....

How?

Why must you keep disturbing?

It's really irritating.. bothering...

That's the worst companion I ever had...

shuh shuh........

Go Away

I need a peaceful moment to do my work...

Can't you??

Grrrrrrrrr...............

you sour fella!

Im so gonna eat all the pill that would eliminate you~

the annoying acid stomach..........

My desperate prayer

I know Im very forgetful... therefore I have to put up the prayer list to remind myself whenever I read my own blog... and also, perhaps you (my frens...) would keep me in prayer, too!

Keep praying, Put God first
When things started to pill up, I tend to neglect God (unintentionally alright?) .. I have to always remember this. And by focusing on Him alone will help me in handling situation in a more proper manner...

Family salvation
Yes, my family members are not saved yet... I pray that they will experience how good my God is.

Excellent time management

I pray that I would be able to complete (as in with cover page and reference done and is prepared to be printed) two days before the due date. Therefore I will not experience the lack of sleep and stamina like what Eric Lim has commented...

Good stamina for asg and study
I need full stamina to do assignment and study in a longer hour instead of the need of taking breaks and rests.

Better brain
Yes, a better one that is good in critical understanding, thinking then writing to shorten the time I take to do assignment ( I will correct it more than 10 times before I completed it) and also in understanding text books (it's written BookS, not Book supposingly I got about 6 thick text books to chew and digest).... Fast!! Real Fast... and able to answer it critically as short as 25 minutes one 50% exam question.

Extremely GOOD memory power
So I will not forget whatever I've spent dono how many hours memorising and remember what ever I’ve studied.. word by word (definitely I will not answer exactly like what text book has written.. that kinda question wont come out in final semester)

A good result
where my family and friends would be proud of... I do not know how much my ability is, but the Lord knows. Therefore I shall not set a limit for myself and limit God in working in me....

A story: Wet Pants

Come with me to a third grade classroom.....

There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.

The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat."

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.

As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie. She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!"

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Susie whispers back, "I wet my pants once too."

May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good.

Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Each and everyone one of us are going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.

The prayer:
Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.

Amen.

Closing ceremony of Small Business Fair

The food fair has ended... beautifully...

It was never easy, to run a business especially when I was working with three different students from Business Admin class.

We are different in terms of perceptions, practice and personality.

I am a Marketing student, where packaging and customer service are highly focussed and emphasized. However, the focus of the three is Profit, Cost Saving and Trouble Saving. Therefore, there are times where I find it so hard to continue on with the preparation and the operation of the business.

Nevertheless, the Lord is always faithful.
He was there whenever I cry out to Him, grab me when I was failing, push me when I was discouraged and lead me when I was lost in direction.

Trying to stand up and walk when I was totally depressed and discouraged was not easy. Finding ways to get sales when there seems impossible to get any students' attention was a hard step for me. At some point I was about to give up, to just walk away and leave everything behind.

Thank God
, He whispered to me... "Hey, call on My Name my child... all things are possible for Me"

Yes, He is definitely possible.. in all things and ways.
When I got Iggy, Joel, Arielle, Adrian Lee to pray with me, my strength was restored.

Praise the Lord!!!!!

At the end, my group got the Best Design of the backdrop and Best Product.

Two Awards!!!!

That's what I've never dreamt and desire for... I thought that was a dead end, but He proved to me that's just a stumbling block that's building me stronger once I am able to cross it...

He is good... He is always good!

I thank God for the chance and the challenge He has planned for me.

This never promise that my life is going to be smooth with no problems and obstacles, BUT, it shows that With the Lord God Almighty I am able to do all things...

Amen!

Im happy... ^^
